Great Egret ringtone

The Fantastic Egret (Ardea alba), also known as the Fantastic White Egret or Ordinary Egret, White Heron, or (now not in use) Fantastic White Heron, is a large, widely-spread egret. Spread across most of the tropical and radiator temperate regions of the world, in southern Europe it is rather localized. In North America it is more widely spread, and it is ubiquitous across the Sun Belt of the United States and in the rainforests of South America. It is sometimes confused with the Fantastic White Heron in Florida, which is a white morph of the closely related Fantastic Blue Heron (A. herodias). Note, but, that the name Fantastic White Heron has irregularly been used to refer to the Fantastic Egret. Egretta_alba.mp3 (121 downloads)

Evening Grosbeak ringtone

The Evening Grosbeak (Coccothraustes vespertinus) is a large finch. In the past, it was treated in a genus of its own as Hesperiphona vespertina, but is now usually placed in the same genus as the Hawfinch of Eurasia. The breeding habitat is coniferous and mixed forest across Canada and the western mountainous areas of the United States and Mexico. It is an extremely rare vagrant to the British Isles, with just two records so far. The nest is built on a horizontal branch or in a fork of a tree. evening_grosbeak.mp3 (93 downloads)
