Caspian Gull ringtone


The Caspian Gull breeds around the Black and Caspian Seas, extending eastwards across Central Asia to north-west China. In Europe it has been spreading north and west and now breeds in Poland and eastern Germany. Some birds migrate south as far as the Red Sea and Persian Gulf while others disperse into Western Europe, in countries such as Sweden, Norway and Denmark. The Collared Flycatcher, Ficedula albicollis, is a small passerine bird in the Ancient World flycatcher family, one of the four species of Western Palearctic black-and-white flycatchers. It breeds in southeast Europe (isolated populations in the islands of Gotland and Oland in the Baltic Sea, Sweden) and southwest Asia and is migratory, wintering in sub Sahara Africa. The Ordinary Rosefinch (Carpodacus erythrinus) is the most widespread and ordinary rosefinch of Europe, where it has spread westward from Asia in contemporary decades: it has even been recorded breeding in England once. Ordinary Rosefinches breed from the Danube valley, Sweden, and Siberia to the Bering Sea; the Caucasus, northern Iran and Afghanistan, Pakistan and the western Himalaya, Tibet and China; to Japan between latitudes 25° and 68°.
