Small flycatcher in the tropical lowlands with humid forest and woodland. Inconspicuous, in the woodland interior and edge, primarily foraging at low to mid-levels. Seen much more frequently than seen: a low, frog-like ordinary call. Just like many flycatchers, the overall plumage colour and pattern, but note its small height,’ broken-nose’ bill outline, pale eyes, and comparatively long, slender, pale pink legs.
