Boat billed flycatcher

Grown-up boat-billed flycatchers are one of the largest types of despot flycatcher, estimating 23 cm (9.1 in) long and measuring 70 g (2.5 oz). The head is dark with a solid white eyestripe and a hid yellow crown stripe. The upperparts are olive-darker, and the wings and tail are dark colored with just black out rufous borders. The underparts are yellow and the throat is white. The enormous dark bill, which gives this species its English and non specific names, is the best qualification from the comparative extraordinary kiskadee, which likewise has more rufous tail and wings, and does not have the olive tone to the upperparts. The call is a strident trilled nya, nya, nya.
